Maternity Photography FAQ’s
When should I book my maternity photoshoot?
The ideal time to schedule maternity photography is between 30 and 34 weeks. This is typically when your baby bump starts to really show, but before you get too uncomfortable to walk around. It is also important not to schedule your maternity photos too late, because we never know exactly when baby could come. As exciting as it might be, we don’t want you to start labor during the photoshoot!
How soon do I need to schedule my session with you?
It is never too early to schedule your maternity photos! We do our best to accommodate last minute booking requests, but we typically recommend booking no later than 4-6 weeks prior to the shoot date. Weekends do tend to book up quicker as well! So, if you know you will need a weekend date, definitely make sure to reach out as soon as possible.
Can my partner, child, or pets be included in the maternity session?
Yes! We believe that your maternity photos should be representative of you and your family! We strongly follow the “ more the merrier” motto!
I am concerned about my extra baby weight and stretch marks. How do you handle that?
While I believe that all mamas to be are beautiful just the way they are, we completely understand these concerns. If there are any specific areas that you are concerned about showing up in the photos, please let us know! We always try to pose you in a way that is gorgeous and flattering, but if there is a specific area of concern, we will keep an extra eye out for those items.
What is your turn around time for maternity photos?
All of our packages include the entire edited gallery. Your maternity photographer will get your photos back to you within two weeks of the photoshoot.
